What Is Nofollow Link?
All links are by default “follow” links in that unless specified otherwise, whenever a search engine comes across a link, it follows it to see where it leads and to count it towards the link’s page’s search rankings. A “nofollow” link is one with the attribute rel=”nofollow” attached to it, which tells search engines not to follow that link and therefore to not count that link as a ‘vote’ for that website.
Ex. <a href=”wikipedia.org” rel=”nofollow”>
